JLG now offering Proximity Detection option on new Telehandlers
When you think JLG Industries, Inc., you think quality, American designed, access equipment. Founded in 1969, John L. Grove set out to provide the construction industry with a machine that could lift workers in the air, quickly and safely. He sold the first JLG aerial work platform in 1970 and today their lifts and telehandlers are world-renowned.
JLG recently introduced their new line of telehandlers at The Rental Show in New Orleans, with all of the bells and whistles. The completely redesigned machines have been built with the operator’s comfort in mind, providing a much roomier cab and enhanced visibility to help increase worksite safety. As part of the focus on safety, JLG is also offering the industry’s first reverse object detection system as an optional feature to provide the operator with active blind spot safety technology. PreView® Radar is proud to have teamed up with JLG, providing the sensor for their Reverse Sensing System.
PreView Radar’s safety systems can be found globally on a variety of machines, from semis to mining haul trucks and wheel loaders to forklifts. We take safety seriously, which is why we design systems specific to the needs of each industry we serve. Our proximity detection systems are built for the most extreme conditions to help ensure our sensors consistently detect moving and stationary items within the detection zone. Teaming up with JLG has provided us with the opportunity to help save even more lives on busy worksites, while also saving companies money.
