Why change from Dual Waste PreView® to PreView®WorkSight® for Waste?
The Dual Waste system provided a detection zone coverage area of approximately 20’ back and just outside the side mirrors of the vehicle. Two sensors were required in order to cover the entire bumper area of the waste vehicle.
The new WorkSight for Waste still provides the same 20’ coverage in the rear, but is narrower, with the detection zone just inside the side mirrors of the vehicle. Additionally, a single sensor is all that is required to cover the width of the bumper, eliminating the need for two sensors and additional connections.
The end result is a better detection zone that reduces driver nuisance alarms in a single sensor solution to reduce the number of connections required through the vehicle.
Of course, both systems employ the patented pulsed radar and robust housing that all PreView sensors use to withstand the harsh, rugged conditions waste collection vehicles work in every day.
